This policy explains what Rentivox collects, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Rentivox (43SJ LLC, 192 Canton St, Westwood, MA 02090) provides rent tracking, tenant reminders and bookkeeping software for landlords through the Rentivox iPhone and Android apps and rentivox.com. Questions: privacy@rentivox.com.

Information we collect

Landlords (our customers): name, email, phone, sign-in details from Apple or Google, properties, leases, rent amounts, receipts and documents you upload.

Bank data via Plaid: account names, last four digits and deposit transactions from the accounts you choose. Access is read-only. Plaid’s handling of your data is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. We never see your bank password and cannot move money.

Tenants: name, phone number, email, preferred language, rent payment status, and messages exchanged with the landlord’s Rentivox number. Landlords provide this information; tenants confirm their phone number by replying YES.

Device and usage data: app version, device type, crash reports and push notification tokens.

How we use it

SMS and mobile information

We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages (such as Twilio).

See the SMS terms for how tenants opt in and out.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that run Rentivox for us, under contract: Supabase (database and storage), Plaid (bank connections), Twilio (SMS and phone numbers), an email delivery provider, Amazon Web Services (receipt text recognition), RevenueCat, Stripe, Apple and Google (subscriptions and payments). We may disclose data if the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel, you keep read-only access and your data is deleted 3 months after cancellation. You can delete your account from the app or the web at any time; deletion removes your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law. Tenant opt-in and opt-out records are kept as long as needed to prove consent.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to each landlord’s own records. Bank connections use Plaid tokens; we never store bank credentials.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data from Settings, or by emailing privacy@rentivox.com. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including to know, delete and correct; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. Tenants may contact us directly to access or delete their information.

Children

Rentivox is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here and notify landlords by email for material changes. Contact: privacy@rentivox.com, 192 Canton St, Westwood, MA 02090.
